    • Abstract:
The author talks about her father and dealing with Alzheimer's-type dementia. She tells about her father suffering from aphasia and being unable to remember the names of things. She mentions about how her father spoke few words, being of a generation that valued actions and work over words. She remembers a letter she once received from him and how even now she occasionally will take it out and reread it because she so values his words.
