    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the contemporary poetry in Guatemala, highlighting the International Poetry Festivals in various Latin America countries. Guatemala provides a national context of inequality during the 21st century that continues to flourish despite the development of democratic practices after the signing of the Peace Accords in 1996. It depicts the country's increasing urban violence and growing poverty.
