    • Abstract:
The article discusses the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election between incumbent U.S. President Barack Obama and his challenger. Particular emphasis is given to the ideological nature of the 2012 U.S. Election and the alleged importance the U.S. President will have in creating U.S. government domestic policy. The history of political division in the U.S. which includes the U.S. Federalist political party's belief in strong central government and the Jeffersonian Republican political party's belief in a limited federal government, is presented.
