      The article discusses the 20th century economist Trygve Haavelmo's epistemology in regard to whether economics is an exact science, through heavily referencing his book "The Probability Approach in Econometrics." An overview of Haavelmo's interest in econometrics, including in regard to his statistical techniques, is provided.
